MORE IN 24 launches to spark EU Election Engagement in Luxembourg

Luxembourg City, November 2 – MOREin24 Luxembourg, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at fostering widespread participation in the upcoming EU Elections of 2024, is set to debut with an event on November 15th, 18:40, at Melia Luxembourg, organised in collaboration with Change for Luxembourg, the grassroots participation movement.

This inaugural event promises to be a dynamic gathering, delivering short inspiring talks and insights in under 15 minutes, and giving the opportunity for attendees to exchange.

Attendees can expect comprehensive information on ‘MORE IN 24’, Change for Luxembourg and an unparalleled opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals committed to bolstering voter engagement and to meet some of Luxembourg’s active MEP’s currently representing them at the European Parliament.

Morein24 Luxembourg is guided by volunteer changemakers Tommy Jack and Sam Elsey. The initiative is dedicated to forging closer ties between Luxembourg’s youth and topics such as youth engagement, voter participation, and the European Union. This mission will be realised through thought-provoking visits to educational and corporate institutions, an engaging social media campaign, extensive collaborations spanning across Europe, and an array of enriching events and initiatives.

The initiative, spearheaded by the EYCA, and supported by the European Parliament, seeks to inspire a wave of change, urging young citizens and residents to embrace their right to participate in the democratic process. It aims to create a unified front to ensure that the voice of every member of our society resonates in the upcoming EU Elections.

“This launch marks a pivotal moment in empowering our diverse communities in Luxembourg to drive change. We’re excited to unite passionate individuals and organisations to amplify participation in the EU Elections, and we’re beyond excited to be introducing MORE IN 24 Luxembourg to the public” said Christos Floros (Change for Luxembourg), one of the event’s organisers.

Building Change for Luxembourg: Advancing Political Inclusion and Representation

Dear Change-Makers,

This morning marked a significant milestone in our journey to bring about positive change in Luxembourg.

We are thrilled to announce that 30 dedicated core members have received invitations to accept various roles within our movement. These roles are designed to help structure and strengthen “Change for Luxembourg” as a powerful political movement advocating for political inclusion, access to politics, increased representation, and enhanced engagement in our country’s political landscape.

Our mission is clear—to create a platform that fosters political inclusion and empowers citizens to actively participate in shaping the future of our nation. By working together, we aim to bridge the gap between people and politics, creating a space for constructive dialogue and collaboration. Our ultimate goal is to build a stronger democracy by training and supporting future political actors who will champion the interests of all Luxembourgers.

Our Vision:

  • Political Inclusion: To ensure that every voice, regardless of background or status, is heard and represented in Luxembourg’s political landscape.
  • Access to Politics: To break down barriers and provide opportunities for all citizens to engage with politics at various levels.
  • Increased Representation: To advocate for a diverse and inclusive representation in our political institutions.
  • Enhanced Engagement: To encourage active participation and collaboration between citizens and political parties.
  • Training Future Political Actors: To nurture and support individuals who will become the change-makers of tomorrow.

We are eager to build “Change for Luxembourg” into a transformative movement that reflects the values and aspirations of all who call Luxembourg their home. Together, we will work towards a brighter and more inclusive political future.

Your support and involvement are crucial to the success of our movement. Let’s unite, inspire, and create a lasting impact for our nation, and Europe.

In unity and progress,

Christos Floros
